Harley Davidson Hydra Glide 1955

The 1955 Hydra Glide model with its new tank V emblems and with a special badge mount to the front fender, the oil tank color tone and the new strait down tube frame,have roots in 1937... its the first year of the oval tail light after the Tombstone decade, in 1955 H-D where re design the Panhead motor, the first FLH type of engine which means higher compression, hotter cams, and polished ports that resulted more power, H-D replaced the roller bearing to the Timken bearing on the left crank case and fitted the new cast aluminum D rings and new manifold collars, foot shifting was already available, 7 colors where available and many two tone combinations plus the optional Hollywood green tone...
